This was a person of interest as I tried to figure out the Eckers of Germany and which of the came to America. She was the same age as my William and was confirmed on the same day. When I learned that a 14 year old girl immigrated on the same ship as William, I wondered if it might be her. (I still do.) Here is the family registry from Germany that places her in the family of William's Uncle, Gottlieb Friedrich. She is child number 8. Her father was the next eldest brother of William's. The sharing of family names is obvious. William had to know her.
The notation next to her name seems to refer to an birth not legitimized by the church. I do not understand the notation at the bottom of the page. Whose child was Christian Friedrich's? If he was an illegitimate child of Rosina Katharins, she would not have emigrated with Abraham Wilhelm in 1854..
